First of all, just know that this article isn’t about ab exercises to get you a 6-pack. But, I’m sure you know that based on the title.
While it’s great to do core work, and you should be doing it, I want to talk about how you should structure your diet so you can burn fat, get lean, and get those abs to POP.
If you want your abs to show, you really need to get lean.
You’ll most likely have to lose more weight than you’ve ever lost before.
So you’ve been dieting for a few weeks (or months) and the scale finally stalled — you’re no longer losing weight.
“Jee whiz, I must be in starvation mode! My weight isn’t dropping!”
That’s usually the first thing that pops into your head. You may have even dropped your calories even more in an effort to get the pounds to shed once again.
But, no matter what you try, the scale won’t move. You’re stuck at the same weight you were 7 days ago.
Seems like everyone these days is trying to figure out how to lose fat and get that lean physique that so many people on social media seem to have.
But, two out of three people are overweight. So, what is it that’s keeping people from actually succeeding in their fat loss goals?
Well, the reality is that most people suffer from information overload. As a result, the brain believes that weight loss is incredibly hard when in actuality, it’s easy as hell.
A lot of fitness advice for women is pure… annoying.
Yes, that’s the first word that comes to my mind when I think of mainstream female fitness advice: annoying.
Having coached many women over the years, the most common question I hear is, “how can I get tone and burn fat?”
You see, this whole idea of “getting tone” is quite silly to me. So, we need to have a talk. Gather ’round ladies and let’s discuss the truth about fitness for women.
Not a fan of cardio? Trying to burn fat and lose weight without any exercise? Continue reading and you’ll learn how to do this…
Look, I get it… You’re a busy person. You work all day and have a family to take care of. You’re tired when you get home and don’t have the energy to hit the gym at 9pm.
Who the hell would want to hit the gym after a hard day of strenuous work? The last thing you want to do is run on a treadmill or lift some weights.
Hanging out with your family and spending the evening together is a much better use of your time. I completely understand your reasoning to avoid the gym.
One of the biggest mistakes you could make when they lose weight and burn fat is this:
The possibility of also losing your hard-earned muscle mass.
This is a very real problem if you’re a natural lifter. In fact, as a natural, losing a bit of muscle mass is to be expected.
However, with a little bit of knowledge, you can drastically reduce your muscle loss during your dieting phase. In fact, if you do it right, you’ll retain most of your muscle mass.
Today’s Q & A – How many carbs should I be eating each day?
I want to address this question because I’m a big fan of consuming carbohydrates.
As you’re probably well aware, once of the most popular diets of our time is based around the no carb or low carb dieting.
The reason these types of diets are so popular is because of the sugar scare. Sugar often turns into fat. So, people got the idea that if you cut out sugar, you cut out fat.
The debate about whether caffeine helps or inhibits weight loss has been around for many years now. So what’s the absolute truth on this matter? That is what I’ll try to answer in today’s Q&A.
I only recently became a coffee drinker within the last couple of years. I seem to be behind the trend because you see this stuff everywhere and everybody is drinking it.
What makes it so special? Do our lives really need this stuff to perform better both at work and in the gym?
An interesting question popped into my inbox the other day: can I perform chest exercises to get rid of my man boobs?
A lot of guys seem to struggle with the man boob thing even when they are adding muscle mass to their body.
You’re hitting the bench press, you’re eating enough calories to build muscle, you’re overall feeling good about your progress.
But, despite all this progress, the moobs are still there! What the hell is going on? Why aren’t they going away? And what can you do to solve this problem?
